MARQUETTE, Mich. — The Northern Michigan University women's lacrosse team continues its opening weeks at home with tilts against Lewis and Quincy this Friday and Sunday.
Friday's game against Lewis is set for 7 p.m. before a noon start Sunday against Quincy.

| LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcat women opened their season last Saturday with a tough loss to McKendree University, 17-11. The team led for most of the night, but were unable to answer McKendree's late offense and a late goal called back ended the Wildcats run for a comeback.
Freshman Amber Hope led the offensive efforts with a hat trick performance in the opening half, including the first goal of the season just over two minutes in.
The Wildcats won the draw controls battle, 17-13 and led in shots with 28 to the Bearcats' 23.
Cam Stilson made 11 saves in net for the Wildcats as they started their season off strong.

After finishing seventh in the conference standings last season and clinching their first post season appearance, the women have been picked to finish fourth in 2020 in the GLIAC preseason poll.
| NEW LEADERSHIP
Lindsey LeMay is taking over the reigns in 2020, joining the team from Wartburg College where she served as the assistant coach.
LeMay becomes just the second head coach in the program's history.
| UP NEXT
The team will have a week's rest before traveling west for a series of games at University of Colorado-Colorado Springs and Colorado Mesa, March 2-4.
